Sordide / sordid

Our friend Tony Pierce has had a bad week-end: he learned that a fan of his blog was arrested in Oklahoma for killing a 10-year old girl with the goal of eating her. "He had no criminal record," writes Tony. "He didn't use a gun. Wasn't on drugs as far as I could tell from his blog, or booze. just another dude walking down the street. someone you might say hi to if theyre wearing a cubs hat or raiders jersey." The 24-year old man had republished one of Tony's articles in full on his blog and Tony had sent some "linky love" back to him. Tony says that he's sick thinking about what sense of bond the guy could have felt to want to put him on his blogroll. Yesterday, Tony started saying that the guy was probably rejected by girls, and that the ladies should make some effort... before coming back to his senses, thankfully, and concluding: "and yes ive lost my mind."

Emmanuelle,
Did you know that Newsweek linked to your blog today, yes, Newsweek International edition, on their technology watch page. You will soon be flooded with visitors!

This guy Underwood who killed the little girl, he was a person suffering from depression and other mental problems, and the doctors had put him on medications a few years ago, however, he decided to go off his meds last year and that is when his weird fantasies starting coming into this sick mind, he need to stay on the meds to cope with life, but he went off them, and the rest is this sad story about his murder and canabilism festish. He also studied Japanese online and kept a blog about his interest in learning Japanese. But it had nothing to do with what he did. So too with your friend Tony Pierce, whose blog Underwood linked to. He was just a sad unhappy lonely person who went off his meds, broke up with a girlf friend in another state, and went bonkers. There is no one to blame, other than fate, destiny, DNA, personality disorder, going off the meds. Please tell Tony there is no connection to him at all. Relax.
