"Meet the press" à la mode Sarkozy
Lu dans Le Point (italiques de moi) suite à la récente visite de Sarko aux USA:
"Juste après l'entrevue de la Maison Blanche, le Ministre de l'Intérieur réunit la presse française et demande d'abord d'éteindre les magnétophones pour un point off. Une personne demande alors une exception, "c'est pour l'ambassade"... Réplique de Nicolas Sarkozy: "raison de plus pour éteindre votre magnétophone!"
Ah, ce n'est pas l'interview de Doc Gyneco à la bonne franquette sous un poster de Bob Marley ( rapporté par Kanditatür.)
PS tardif, 09/30: j'apprends par Daniel Schneidermann que Sarko organise aussi des conf de presse "off" avec les blogueurs et que personne n'a idée de le rappeler à la réalité, ou de ce qui devrait être la réalité. ... Lamentable.
Read in the French newsweekly Le Point (italics mine), following Sarko's recent visit to the U.S.:
"Right after his meeting [with George Bush] at the White House, the French Interior ministry gathered the French press and asked them to switch off their tape recorders for an off-the-record press conference. Someone asked for an exemption: "This is for the French Embassy..." To which Nicolas Sarkozy replied: "All the more reason to stop your recorder!"
Late PS, Sept 30: I learn via french Media critic Daniel Schneidermann that Sarko also organize "off the record" press conferences with French bloggers during which none of those attempt to call him back to reality or to what reality should be... Terrible.
