Theresa Duncan, Big One et tranches de vie / Theresa Duncan, Big One and slices of life

In an interview for LAist last year, Tony asked beautiful artist and refined blogger Theresa Duncan where she would like to live in L.A. Her answer: "I would live in the Griffith Observatory, so I could keep one eye on Hollywood and one eye on outer space." And where would she like to be when the Big One hits? "Asleep in Jeremy Blake's arms."

Observed, LAist, Kate à Fishbowl L.A.

Theresa's suicide and the subsequent vanishing of her long-time boyfriend and artist Jeremy (who drowned in sorrow, it seems) have brought great sadness to the blogosphere: L.A. Observed, LAist, Kate à Fishbowl L.A. (a friend of Duncan's), Nancy Rommelmann, NewsGrist paid them tribute.

In the short animation film below (pulled from YouTube) the couple (along with animator James Dean Conklin) had created an unusual, charming, colorful and humorous universe featuring an ambitious woman and a giant slice of white bread. A French blogger, Damien, has a page in French and in English dedicated to the hallucinary digital art of Jeremy Blake for the movie Punch Drunk Love.
