Luke Ford: si normal / Luke Ford: so normal

Photo Hosted at Buzznet

Two remarkable bloggers profiled in the L.A. press today: in The tragedy of Theresa Duncan, published in LA Weekly, Kate Coe (of blog Fishbowl L.A.) explores the life of the beautiful artist and blogger who committed suicide recently after unfulfilled Hollywood hopes and a descent into paranoia. Tomorrow's Los Angeles Times already put online an article with more details about Theresa and her boyfriend's Scientology phobia, and the forces behind their sad ending. See also Amy's post: Making it up as she went along...

By comparison, our old porn chronicler friend Luke Ford, an orthodox Jew and a self-confessed troubled man (it's him above, in front of Westminster Abbay in London for no good reason except that I like the pic), is a paragon of normalcy. He makes the front page of the Jewish Journal and the article tells us that Luke Ford released his scoop on "L.A.'s mayor's marriage kaput" by doing pretty much what cyberstar Matt Drudge did to launch the Lewinsly scandal back in 1998: he got the information from a journalist who couldn't publish it as his workplace, which was too wary of taking the risk, and so Luke blogged the nugget right away on his website.
