Merci Bug Me Not!

Personne n'y gagne! Fantastique. Via L.A. Observed et Wired.

Like Steve Outing who launched a heated debate here on forced registration on news sites, I'm a bit fed up with clicking on tantalizing articles linked to on Google News and ending up on yet another news site pushing for registration. Which I do, like everybody, by filling in fake names, fake e-mail addresses, etc. Nobody wins at this game. This site, Bug me not is the perfect fix: he provides login names and passwords that allow access to a bunch of sites. The first time, it can take a few seconds to dig up a name and password for a specific publication, but once the cookie is installed, you're set. Fantastic! Via L.A. Observed et Wired.

Yeah, every paper that does this must wonder why they have so many online readers from the 90210 zip code, huh?

What's up with the dates of the posts? They keep changing to the current date. Maybe it's my browser.

I'm very happy you've started posting again.
