Raccoon etc.
Note aux amis et parents en France qui me demandent régulièrement ce que c'est qu'un raccoon (une sorte de raton-laveur), Pierre Carion à San Diego a toutes les photos de la faune urbaine en Californie du sud, sauf le coyote. Nous avons aussi un opossum dans le jardin, qui sort de son buisson uniquement lors des soirées arrosées.
Note to friends and relatives in France who keep asking what exactly a raccoon is, Pierre Carion in San Diego has a gallery of all the urbane fauna in Southern California, except maybe for the coyote. We too have an opossum in our yard, who doesn't come out of his bush unless there is a drunken party raging on.
