Note to New York voters who enjoy adult products: after casting your ballot on Tuesday, keep the receipt and go to the Virgin Megastore in Times Square to redeem for a free DVD from the hands of gonzo pornographer and reality show star Seymore Butts. Even if you have voted for Bush. Why in New York and not in Los Angeles, like it should be? I have no idea. The adult industry and strip club owners have conducted quite a few of these operations in reaction to the Bush administration's attempts at cracking down on porn. Anyway, this is an occasion to mention that SB's PR gal, Carly, runs the most interesting blog from the inside of the adult industry.
Since, of course, the reign of the "Matt Drudge of X," Luke Ford, who sold
LukeFord.com and now officiates on the very kosher LukeFord.net). I'm currently reading his thrilling and deranged autobiography, XXX-Communicated. Precious!

Oh, priceless then! Luke's book is a lot of things, but not "darling". Thanks for the corrrection Cathy.
We had a good time last night with Luke at Amy's book party, with the pet expert guy from the Today Show. We should blog about him, he's awesome

Sadly, we don't get any stinking receipt when we vote in New York. i thought for some reason it might be different this time -- i've been here nearly six years and it seems something is different nearly every time. So I don't think I'm heading into Times Sq to get the DVD. You know another annoying thing about voting in NYC? In all the years here, I've only rec'd one voter guide in the mail. Nov. 4 2003. That's it. I had no idea how easy it was in Calif. by comparison, even with all those propositions.

Cathy's comment has disappeared for some reason, but she was the one saying that you can't really say in English that a book is precious - priceless is better

Re: voter guides, we receive at least 2 or 3 here. One for Ken Layne this year, even though he moved out, like, 1 year and a half ago. It's cheap of New York not to print and distribute more guides. In California, with 16 propositions to vote on this year, it was quite crucial to have one
