"Hellloooo, it's Julio from Parissss, France!"

J'aurais un little reportage radio à te demanday... on a very interesting subject, I'll guarantee it!"

Three years without Julien Prunet, we're missing his presence all the way from Los Angeles -- his vitality, his phone calls from the editorial offices of France Info radio, for which I work. As my editor, he would often take up an outrageous fake American accent to commission a story: "Hellooo, it's Julio from Parisss, France... I wuld like to ask yu for a little reportage radio ... on a very interesting subject, I'll guarantee it!" Julien was the anchor-producer of a show called France Info Plus. The radio's foreign correspondents loved working with Julien because he always had good ideas, would take time to discuss the angle with passion, and would make excellent suggestions on how to improve the reports. Julien was incredibly talented, born to do radio with his energetic voice. He was so good at impersonating people we would laugh until our jaws hurt. He was the life and soul of the party and would share his good spirit and appetite for life, while sparing us the rest. This is an immense regret. He has so many friends who miss him, starting with radio correspondents: we talk about him often.

colleagues of Julien are running an association, Lire dans le Noir that produces audio-books and readings for the blind, with the help of donations.
