Ce type fascinant dans son genre me rappelle furieusement le pornographe français Pierre Woodman, en plus bronzé. Après parution d'un article lui ayant déplu dans Libération, il avait seriné un redacteur-en-chef au téléphone et m'avait réveillée dans mon appartement de Budapest avec des menaces colorées dans le combiné; j'ai vite appris que ce comportement était courant, en particulier avec les femmes journalistes. Joe Francis s'adonne aux mêmes pratiques, mais va plus loin en plaquant la reporteur par derrière sur le capot d'une voiture. Avec la description d'un viol présumé dans l'article, ca sent vraiment le roussi pour l'empire GGW (rebaptisé "Girls With Low Self-Esteem", dans la série TV Arrested Development...)
This somewhat fascinating guy reminds me very much of French pornographer Pierre Woodman, with a better tan. After the publication of an article of mine in Libération that he didn't like, he called and talked the ear off of my editor and woke me up in my Budapest apartment with colourful phone threats; I soon learned that this was a common occurrence, especially with women journalists. Joe Francis takes it up a notch by slamming the reporter from behind on the hood of a car. With the alleged rape described in the piece, it smells like a lot of upcoming trouble for GGW (a.k.a. "Girls With Low Self-Esteem", in the TV series Arrested Development... )
